From a young age, Dr. Nowik’s primary hobby was drawing and painting. He excelled in art classes throughout his school years, developing a meticulous eye for detail and design. This natural artistic talent found its professional calling through the inspiration of his aunt and uncle, who are both dentists. Watching them combine technical skill with artistry to help people regain their smiles and confidence sparked his own desire to pursue a career in dentistry. For Dr. Nowik, this field represents the perfect fusion of his passions: helping people through the beautiful science of a smile.

Dr. Nowik’s commitment to his craft is highlighted by his postgraduate residency at Columbia University and the New York Presbyterian Hospital. He describes this period as the biggest challenge of his career so far, where he had the opportunity to restore and help a diverse range of patients. Whether performing a complex full-mouth reconstruction or placing a single implant, his goal was always the same: to allow his patients to smile with confidence again.

His exceptional skill did not go unnoticed. During his residency, Dr. Nowik was honored with the award for Best Clinical Performance in Prosthodontics. He also received the prestigious Drew Family Award for two consecutive years, testaments to his dedication and outstanding clinical abilities.

The field of dentistry is constantly evolving, and Dr. Nowik is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the latest advancements. He actively participates in numerous national and international meetings to connect with colleagues and learn about new techniques and technologies. He follows research and continuing education opportunities from leading institutions like the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and the American College of Prosthodontics. His fluency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese also allows him to take advantage of training opportunities around the globe, from the Americas to Brazil.

Outside the Office

When he is not crafting beautiful smiles, Dr. Nowik enjoys a life full of travel and culinary exploration. Having been fortunate enough to see many different parts of the world and live in New York City for five years, he has a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and populations. This global perspective enriches his ability to connect with patients from all backgrounds.

He is also an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular love for soccer (fútbol) and tennis. Whenever he gets a chance to enjoy time away from his dental duties, you might find him skiing down a mountain or scuba diving in clear waters.
