Minimize the Pain

If you are experiencing a great amount of pain, you need to minimize the pain as soon as possible. Typically Tylenol should be taken as directed on the bottle. If you are bleeding at all make sure to avoid aspirin or ibuprofen because these are blood thinners. You can also apply an ice pack to the affected area to reduce pain and swelling.

Knocked-Out, Chipped, or Broken Tooth

A knocked-out tooth needs immediate attention, if possible, have it checked with a half-hour of being removed. There’s still a chance you can save it!

If you can, place the tooth back in the socket, placing a cloth or napkin in your mouth and gently biting down to hold the tooth in its place before you get to the dentist. If the tooth has become dirty, you can also place it in a glass of milk to try to save it.
