Gum DiseaseGum Disease
Also known as Periodontal Disease, gum disease is a serious dental condition that often gets overlooked and is not treated properly. Did you know that an estimated 6 out of every 10 adult people have some form of periodontal disease. It is caused by certain types of bacteria forming under and around plaque and tartar build-up. These bacteria create toxins that can damage the gums and basically start eating away at the bone around your teeth, creating bone loss. Getting professional cleanings regularly can help prevent periodontal disease, but once the disease has gotten into your gums and bone, deeper and more intense cleanings are necessary to remove the bacteria (see Treatment Options, below).

How Do I Know If I Have A Gum Disease?
– Gums that bleed during toothbrushing
– Any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite
– Gums that have pulled away from the teeth
– Any change in the fit of partial dentures
– Permanent teeth that are loose or separating
– Persistent bad breath or bad taste

The staff is very courteous and the office is clean. If you're a first time patient, the wait is about 45 minutes to an hour. However, after your next visit, the dentist will see you within 15-20 minutes. The dentist is nice and explains what work needs to be done. Also, the pricing is very fair. The first time I went they had a special for free x-rays. I had to get a tooth pulled out and the cost was under $150. I would definitely recommend Dyer Dental to anyone.

I had to have a serious procedure done that is actually going to take 3 stages. I have had a lot of anxiety on this much needed procedure. I have never experienced a dentist or dental staff as thorough and thoughtful as Dr. Wolf and his team. They often call or text to make sure I am ok!!! It is evident that they truly care for their patients. I highly recommend them for any dental work. You will be glad that you did.
